Roasters thoughts: “I have honestly attempted to roast this for espresso and filter, I cannot pick a favorite brew method for it. It just tastes good!”
This coffee is grown by Jairo at Finca Villarazo. This particular coffee was meticulously handpicked in order to select only the rippest cherries. It was then Honey processed and dried at Cofinets, La Pradera washing station.
Jairo began growing coffee 35 years ago when his father got very sick and could no longer manage the farm. Shortly after Jairo managed to purchase his own land and continue to grow coffee until this very day. The team at Cofinet are using their washing station La Pradera to help educate local farmers to produce better quality coffees in order to sell them at a higher price to specialty roasters like ourselves. By you purchasing and supporting this coffee, you are creating a demand for their product which motivates these farmers to explore new techniques and ultimately begin transforming the industry for the better!
