Roasters Thoughts: “This is tasting a like a dream, natural processed coffees are so unique when brewed as a filter. You get a really syrupy and textured mouthfeel with loads of fruitiness. El Salvador is an origin that slides under the radar and is left out of too many conversations. It’s tasting delightful fruity and unique, it’s such an exquisite coffee. “
From the slopes of the Ilamatepec volcano, the Álvarez family has been honing their expertise to produce exemplary coffees from Finca La Reforma since 1892. Predominantly Red Bourbon trees are nurtured on the farm under a shade canopy of indigenous species, which not only enriches the soil but plays a critical role to ensure local wildlife thrives. World-class processing and preparation for export is taken care of at their family-owned mill, El Borbollon, and in 2011 their hard work was recognised when La Reforma was awarded 3rd place in the Cup of Excellence. Equipped with an expertly trained and dedicated cupping team, and over a century of experience, not only are quality standards maintained, they continue to seek greater diversity in profiles. All cherries are handpicked and floated in water so that any less dense, inferior fruit can be discarded. For Natural processing, cherries are dried on raised beds for 15 to 19 days. From there, Finca La Reforma day lots are milled and graded individually so that each can be cupped and identified for best qualities. This Red Bourbon offering was specially selected by the quality lab to showcase an exceptional flavour profile of candy-like, tropical fruits and perfumed flowers.

We've been loving the filter blends to run through our Moccamaster in the office. We're on our second 1kg bag and both filter varietes we've tried have really shone with great flavour. We'll definitely be ordering more!
I'm a big fan of this bean. Roasted nicely for filter coffee. I've just bought a bag and am loving it, I can't wait for cooler weather to sit with a cup of this.
I am new one , could you introduce me how to buy your coffee? Thanks
